Mrs. Young is in her 3rd year as an assistant principal at New Lexington Middle School.  Prior to becoming a part of the administration team she taught in the classroom for 18 years, 15 of which were in special education. Mrs. Young comes with an associate degree in Dietetics from Hocking College, Early Childhood Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio University, Athens.  She went on to complete her first Master’s Degree in Special Education at Muskingum University and a second Master’s Degree in Principal Leadership from Ohio University, Athens.  

Mrs. Young is married to Ryan Young.  She and her husband have 3 children, Adam and Eli Young, and Trinity Cook.  The two boys graduated from Lancaster high school. The oldest is a tile worker with his father and the youngest is completing his sophomore year at The Ohio State University.  Trinity is a senior at New Lexington high school. 

Mrs Young enjoys watching her daughter play both volleyball and basketball.  When she’s not in the gym she’s enjoying the outdoors running competition beagles with her husband or working in the barn.  She also enjoys reading, walking/hiking, spending time with family and friends, and a good adventure. 

Mrs. Young is always ecstatic about a new school year and looking forward to seeing students and staff.
