WELLSTON - Visiting New Lexington (7-13) struck for six runs in the
first inning and added six more in the sixth to nail down a 14-8
Division III sectional final win against second-seed Wellston (16-9) on
Friday.
The seventh-seeded Panthers now play No. 6 Portsmouth West in a district semifinal at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Unioto High School.

Harris pitched seven innings for the win, striking out 12, walking two
and allowing two walks. She also starred at the plate with a two-run
homer in the sixth and a double. Destyn Beard had a double and two hits
and Morgan Brown had three hits, including a double, in the win.
