Search for Children With Disabilities

In accordance with Public Law 93-380, the New Lexington City Schools are making an effort to identify, locate, and evaluate all children with disabilities birth through age 21. By disability we mean a condition such as being hearing impaired, visually impaired, orthopedically impaired, emotional disturbance, cognitive disability, specific learning disabled, speech or language impairment, deaf-blindness, autism, traumatic brain injury, multiple disabilities and/or other health impairment.

Many children with disabilities are not visible because they do not function in the mainstream of the community. Also, many unidentified children are preschoolers. Parents may not be aware that programs and services are available. If you know a child with a disability, please contact Angela Stenson, Director of Student Services, at 740-342-4133. By law, all inquiries are treated confidentially.
