Go Panthers!

I have been teaching sixth grade science at NLMS for 15 years.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Middle Childhood Education in the areas of science and social studies with a minor in Earth science from Mount Union University.  I also have a Masters in Environmental Education from Nova Southeastern University.

In sixth grade science, students have multiple opportunities to work in cooperative groups while completing lab activities and projects.  The school nature trail and school garden are two ongoing projects that students can expect to be involved in throughout the year in sixth grade.  We also have several guest speakers visit our classroom throughout the year, providing students with valuable science and life skills.  In addition to teaching sixth grade science I am also the Outdoor Adventure club leader in our after school program, Project Y.O.U. and the Sceince Olympiad advisor.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family doing anything involving the outdoors and nature.
