Below you will find the name of the Reading Street stories we will read plus our weekly spelling and vocabulary words
Spelling Words
Each week the students are given spelling words. These words are associated with our weekly story and follow a specific spelling rule we are working on in class. If the students are able to spell all the words correctly on Monday, they will be given a challenge list of words that follow the same spelling pattern.
They will have spelling homework each week that is due on Friday.
Vocabulary Words
At the beginning of each week, the students will also be introduced to several high frequency/vocabulary words. The words are used throughout the week and in a variety of activities. The students are expected to use these words appropriately both orally and in sentences.
