The New Lexington eAcademy is a K-12 online program that provides a challenging yet flexible learning environment for students with diverse needs and backgrounds. This program is an alternative to the traditional 7:35-2:35 structured class setting. Using our PEAK Online Learning System platform, which has a curriculum aligned with standards set by the Ohio Department of Education, students can work a their own pace and level to obtain graduation credits. Students opting into this program have the flexibility of working any time, 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
New Lexington Schools will provide technology for students who do not have a computer to use at home. If a student does not have internet access at home, students may sign up for one of three in-school sessions or hybrid scenarios. Students are encouraged to work a minimum of four hours per day (20hours per week minimum) and complete at least 5% of each course per week in order to remain on a four-year graduation pathway. Students are also encouraged to attend our after-school tutoring program if they need additional support with the online curriculum. Students must also report to school during all required state tests.
In order to be successful in this program, students must be responsible and self-motivated. Parental involvement and support is also necessary in order for eAcademy students to be successful. If at any time New Lexington Schools does not feel that a student is being successful, we reserve the right to request a meeting with both the student and parent(s). If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our offices by phone or email.
