New Lexington FFA Win!
New Lexington FFA has another state championship team! After winning the District 10 FFA Agriculture Mechanics Skills contest held in March at Buckeye Hills Career Center in Rio Grande, Ohio, New Lexington qualified for the state finals which was held at The Ohio State University ATI in Wooster, Ohio. Competing against 20 of the top teams from across the state, New Lexington prevailed as the winner. Team members include JD Garey (2nd place individual), Jordan Middaugh (4th place individual) and Clay Weber (6th place individual). The contest is a hands-on Skills contest which included welding, electrical wiring, hydraulics, engines, and similar competencies. This same team also competed and won the District 10 FFA contest for Outdoor Power Equipment at Tri-County Career Center in Nelsonville, Ohio and will again compete for another state title at OSU ATI on April 25th.
