A Speech Language Pathologist is often referred to as an SLP.  A school-based SLP assist children in accessing their education by helping them reach their full communication potential at home and in the classroom environment. Sessions may include language drills, articulation, and socialization games that focus on the child's expressive language and listening comprehension to boost a child's receptive language abilities.
